I did notice that about Dreamcatcher! I think it's really cool that a girl group is playing with edgier and more rock sounds. I've always considered K-pop more of an industry than a genre of itself...which then allows for more acts to play with different musical styles.
Admittedly I have been a bit underwhelmed by BabyMonster's debut but I am intrigued to see what YG's plan is for them. The company itself has now established a signature sound, but it doesn't seem like people are vibing with it anymore. Time will tell!
